CLIENT’S BRIEF

The client, a Sustainability Team within a major hyperscale data centre operator, engaged us to design and facilitate a half-day workshop as part of their regional strategic planning meeting.

The objective was to help the team think beyond day-to-day operations and identify their next “wow” opportunities - bold, differentiating moves that go beyond today’s initiatives and create meaningful value for the organisation’s most important stakeholders.

WHAT WE DID

We designed a four-hour workshop centred on an inside-out, stakeholder perspective, focusing on the groups with the greatest influence on the organisation’s sustainability agenda.

The workshop began with the mapping and prioritisation of key stakeholder groups, ranging from customers, suppliers, and employees to policymakers and regulators. The team then identified the stakeholders they wished to focus on during the session.

Through LEGO SERIOUS PLAY, participants stepped into the perspectives of their priority stakeholders to explore what sustainability means to them and identify game-changing opportunities that could create meaningful impact over the next five years.

The workshop culminated in a shared landscape that captured the team’s collective vision for how the organisation could become a sustainability leader in the future.

THE OUTCOMES 

The workshop enabled participants to bring their individual ideas together into a shared landscape, creating an energetic exchange of perspectives and insights. This enabled the team to identify promising initiatives with the potential to be scaled across the organisation.

Participants also shared that the workshop structure and questions helped to provoke deeper thinking about both the team’s current approach and future strategy, resulting in stronger alignment around priorities and a shared understanding of future possibilities.
