CLIENT’S BRIEF

The client, one of Singapore’s largest preschool operators, engaged us to design and facilitate a workshop for its management team, focusing on strengthening critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

WHAT WE DID

Our workshop leverages LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® to help team members see how their roles connect and why collaboration matters. This comes to life through a simulated problem, where participants must analyse the situation, evaluate options, and work together to create solutions. In doing so, they experience firsthand how collaboration and critical thinking reinforce one another - making the team more effective than the sum of its parts.

We designed an experiential workshop that helped participants understand how their roles connect and why collaboration matters. Using LEGO SERIOUS PLAY, participants worked through a simulated business challenge with unexpected developments. Participants got to stretch their thinking by applying three types of imagination: descriptive imagination to improve existing approaches, creative imagination to generate new possibilities, and challenging imagination to question assumptions and reframe problems.

THE OUTCOMES 

The workshop was widely described as highly engaging. Through a series of immersive challenges, participants were encouraged to stretch their imagination and develop innovative solutions to unexpected problems. Many also spoke about experiencing collaboration in action, which strengthened their confidence in being able to tackle challenges collectively by drawing on diverse perspectives and building on one another’s ideas.
